The Gallery: June
From 27 May to 29 August 2026, The Gallery, Coffs Harbour presents a deeply personal solo exhibition by Uncle Allan Phillips, a respected artist, storyteller, and cultural man living on the Dorrigo Plateau.
What: Your Story, My Story, Our Story – Onemobdreaming
Where: The Gallery, Coffs Harbour
When: Now until 29 August
A son, brother, uncle, father, and grandfather, his ancestry is of the Worimi, Guringai and Gumbaynggirr peoples of NSW, alongside Irish and European heritage — “Or as I say… I am Onemob.”
This exhibition marks a significant moment, with uncle Allan publicly exhibiting his artwork for the first time since 2017. Having painted for more than 20 years, he has found homes for his works across Australia and internationally, with exhibitions in Canberra, Bellingen, Pambula, and Dorrigo. Deeply grounded in connection to Country, Ancestors, spirit, community, and shared human experience, Your Story, My Story, Our Story – Onemobdreaming invites audiences to slow down, connect, and discover their own meaning within each work. Guided by the wisdom of a Senior Gumbaynggirr Loreman, uncle Allan intentionally leaves space for viewers to feel, listen, and walk with the stories shared through the artworks.
Visitors are invited to attend a special Launch Event on Friday 29 May, 5:30pm–7:30pm.
