TFF Returns

Following the inaugural visit in 2026, the Travelling Film Festival is set to return to BCC Cinemas Coffs Harbour this August 7-9. The most illuminating, exciting and entertaining new films from around the world will have exclusive screenings, especially programmed for Coffs Harbour film fans.

What: Travelling Film Festival
Where: BCC Cinemas, Coffs Harbour
When: 7-9 August

TFF Manager Beatrix Brady remarked that “the breadth of stories being screened is an extraordinary opportunity for audiences to take a step into another world – worlds that are illuminating, inspiring, challenging, hilarious, entertaining, and at times all of those things at once. We all remember those movies that left an impact long after we left the cinema – this is a whole program of those experiences.”

Opening the Festival will be the Australian-made hit Whistle – strap yourself in and pucker up as you follow all the high notes, drama and divas of the world of competitive whistling.

Audiences can enjoy the top prize winner at the Cannes Film Festival this year – Fjord, the gripping and morally complex drama starring Renate Reinsve and Sebastian Stan. Expect foyer debates. Or catch the always fantastic Sandra Hüller (Anatomy of a Fall) who won the Silver Bear at the Berlinale for her staggering turn as a 17th century soldier in Rose.

Where else but at the Travelling Film Festival could you also see a sparkling rom-com from Afghanistan like No Good Men, a majestic song-filled odyssey with reindeer with Árru from Scandinavia, or a multi-decade spanning film where the lead character is a tree in Silent Friend starring Tony Leung. And more!

Plus select screenings will be accompanied by award winning Australian short films, like A Grief Encounter, a charming rom-com starring Deborah Mailman and Wayne Blair.
