Neverland Weekender

Running from 28–30 August, the event brings together an eclectic mix of live bands, electronic artists, immersive installations, workshops and visual art in a format designed to showcase the incredible depth of talent emerging throughout our region and beyond.

The Memorial Hall will transform into a multi-space creative precinct, with the main hall hosting live bands and roving performers, while a second stage offers an intimate space for DJs and late-night musical journeys. The hall’s bunker will become an art gallery featuring local artists, complemented by workshops, community spaces and opportunities to connect throughout the weekend.

Neverland is more than a music festival. It is the beginning of a much larger vision for Bellingen. This year’s event serves as a foundation for an expanded town-wide festival planned for next year, where venues throughout Bellingen will come alive in a collaborative “Bello Crawl” format, encouraging people to experience the town’s thriving creative culture while supporting local businesses, artists and performers.

Inspired by the natural beauty of the region, Neverland also acknowledges the deep cultural significance of Gumbaynggirr Country. Neverland hopes  to foster a respectful connection to place, creating an environment where music, creativity and community can come together with care for the land and appreciation for the stories that have shaped it for thousands of years.

At its heart, Neverland is about creating a platform where established artists, emerging performers and local creatives can share their work, collaborate and grow together. It is an invitation to experience something new, celebrate community, and help shape the future of Bellingen’s evolving arts and music scene.
