What: Dorrigo winter art show
Where: dorrigo rainforest centre, dome road dorrigo
When: NOW UNTIL 22 JULY

Local artist, Pingala Walsh captures, etches and weaves photographs to create location and nature inspired works describing worlds of wonder and natural beauty. In tribute to the depth of nature, she is inspired by a creative approach to life as well as a deep respect and love of nature’s ways.

Photographic images are multiple layered, worked and composed using a variety of digital photographic techniques. With decades of working in this way, Pingala calls this technique Photographic Art. Her graphic design skills allow strong technical knowledge in creating archival fine art limited edition prints.

Many of Pingala’s works are centred on elements of the Tasmanian wilderness, having exhibited with the Bob Brown Foundation’s Tarkine in Motion project and other BBF exhibitions in Tasmania. A collection of her interpretive illustrative works can be found exhibited at the Tasmanian Museum and Art Gallery, Hobart as well as in the Australian Antarctic Division’s foyer and other occasional shows. She also exhibits regularly in the Mid North Coast region.
